Hakim Ziyech makes future admission

Hakim Ziyech would sign for Chelsea in 2020, agreeing to move in February before eventually linking up with the club in July.

The Blues were believed to have paid £36m to land the Moroccan. At the time, that seemed like a great bit of business.

‘The Wizard’ had been one of Ajax’s standout stars for several years and had shown his talent against Chelsea in a Champions League group stage tie, providing three assists in an enthralling 4-4 draw.

However, since his move to England, Ziyech has struggled for form on a consistent basis.

And now, Ziyech has admitted that he would like to return to Ajax in the future:

“I would love to. I had a fantastic time there. It’s a place where I have felt at home, and whether it will ever happen, the future will tell. If it is up to me, it will definitely happen.

“That’s not up to me; I leave that to them. I just try to enjoy every day now and do my thing. What the future brings, we’ll see then. Like I said, I hope it happens one day. Whether it will happen is not up to me.”

Chelsea fans want Antony

Ziyech is currently under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2025, so a deal, despite Ziyech’s comments, may not happen as soon as some fans may think or hope.

Despite this, amid hearing the news Ziyech is open to an Ajax return at some point, some Chelsea fans have taken to social media to express a transfer demand.

That demand, as shown below, is to swap Ziyech for Ajax’s current right-winger, Antony:

Ziyech was 1 of my fav footballers during his time at Ajax,ain’t giving up on him but his time at Chelsea has been very weird cuz of alot of things.
