Arsenal travel to Goodison Park
Arsenal travel to Goodison Park to take on a woefully out of form Everton, knowing that anything but a win will leave them outside the Europa League places after wins for Manchester United and Tottenham at the wekeend.
When you remember it’s matchday! 😁

After suffering a dramatic 3-2 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Thursday, Mikel Arteta now needs to get his side ready for another away clash, this time at an Everton side who have picked up just 2 points from a possible 24.
Emile Smith Rowe, who opened the scoring at Old Trafford, is a doubt with a groin strain, while question marks continue to surround club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has netted just 4 times in 13 Premier League appearances this season.
Arsenal’s feel-good factor has been ground to a halt thanks to defeats to Liverpool and Manchester United, where they shipped 7 goals, and with tough games against West Ham United and Leeds United to come, this evening’s clash is already taking on a must win feel, even just 14 games into the season, for Arsenal to remain in the running for European football.
However, they could be boosted by the return of one man.
“I’m Back”
After what can only have been a superhuman effort by Granit Xhaka, he is back with the Arsenal squad this evening, two months and a week after damaging his knee, and a full month ahead of shedule.
This is according to his instagram story, where he has put up a simple message: “I’m back”.

His return could take some of the pressure off of the underperforming Thomas Partey, although it is unlikely that he starts the game after such a long time out.
For Arsenal however, it is a massive boost.
